Perfect Crime

This series recalls Baudrillard’s homonymous essay, subtitled “How television killed reality.” These images are metaphors, suggesting the world is disappearing, swallowed by its reproduced image, by its digital entertaining twin.

The series portrays different home interiors covered by plastic films, absurd crime scenes, where people are absorbed by their technological devices. Detached from the physical space, humans are light-heartedly interacting with machines.

The series questions whether we dive into virtual worlds, dismissive of our surrounding environments, increasingly disinterested in our contexts. Can we have a glimpse into someone else’s bubble and break the veil of our own very personal isolation?
